# Show Google Tasks

Connect your task lists and choose which tasks appear alongside your events.

These guides cover GCal 4.0.0 for Mac.

Requires Premium. [Feature availability](https://soriian.com/help/premium-features/).

## Connect and select your lists

1. Open **Settings → Accounts** and connect your Google account with Tasks permission. For an existing connection with missing permission, use **Grant Permissions**.
2. Open **Settings → Tasks**. Select the Google Task lists you want included.
3. Choose whether to enable **Show completed tasks**, then check the menu-bar agenda.

A list can be connected correctly even if it has no tasks in the date range being shown.

## Create or edit a task

Use **Create Task** from GCal’s menu to open the task-creation interface in Google Calendar. Edit the task there. The native Tasks connection reads your lists; it does not write task changes through the Tasks API.

## Set up task reminders

In **Settings → Notifications**, enable native notifications and the task reminders you want. Scheduled tasks and all-day tasks have separate timing options. Undated or completed tasks do not generate these reminders.

If tasks are missing, check Tasks permission, selected lists, and the completed-task setting. Use Refresh in the Tasks pane to reload the list of available task lists. See [the notification guide](https://soriian.com/help/notifications/) for delivery problems.
