## What Classic means

Classic is the access level for customers who purchased GCal before version 3.0, when the app was sold as a paid-up-front purchase. If you bought GCal under that model, you are a Classic customer.

Your Classic access keeps the established paid features available to you, without requiring a Premium upgrade. Premium adds newer capabilities, including Calendar Sets, Focus filters, Google Tasks, backgrounds, and Apple Shortcuts actions.

See [the feature guide](https://soriian.com/help/premium-features/) for the distinction between established features and new native Google connections.

## Find your offer

1. Open **GCal Settings**.
2. Click **Unlock New Features**.
3. Review the options presented in the app. Verified Classic customers can choose the regular yearly plan or the Classic lifetime-upgrade offer.

You can close the offer and continue with your existing access. Prices and eligibility are determined in the app, so use the offer shown there rather than a price quoted for another customer or region.

## If your previous purchase is not recognized

1. Check that the Mac App Store is signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
2. Use **Restore Purchases** in GCal’s purchase or access-recovery screen. If verification is temporarily unavailable, use Retry.
3. If access is still missing, contact support with the app version and the message you see. Do not send your Apple Account password or payment details.

For a customer with verified permanent Classic ownership, an expired Premium subscription falls back to Classic access. It does not remove that underlying ownership.
