Grant or recover macOS calendar permission for iCloud, Outlook, Exchange, and other system accounts.

These guides cover GCal 4.0.0 for Mac.

Requires Premium or existing Classic access. [Feature availability](https://soriian.com/help/premium-features/).

## Request calendar access

1. Open **Settings → Accounts**.
2. Turn on **Calendars on This Mac**.
3. When macOS asks, allow GCal to access your calendars.
4. Open **Settings → Calendar** and choose the calendars you want included.

## If access was denied

Open **System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars** and allow GCal. Return to GCal, then toggle Calendars on This Mac off and on if the catalog does not reload automatically.

## If the catalog keeps loading or reports an error

First confirm that Apple Calendar can see the account and its calendars. Then use Refresh in GCal’s Calendar settings. If macOS permission changed while GCal was running, quit and reopen GCal so the background calendar service can reconnect with the new authorization.

## After permission is granted

Selected events should become available to the menu bar, Dock, widgets, notifications, Shortcuts, and AI agenda tools. Permission alone does not select every calendar; review the Calendar pane after the catalog appears.
